12 seniors signed letters of intent to continue their athletic careers in college during National Signing Day on Nov. 13. Each athlete was joined by their coaches and families to celebrate their achievements.
Among the athletes putting pen to paper was senior Gavin Chapa, who committed to Texas A&M.
“I am most excited for my freshman cross country season,” Chapa said. “I am excited to start training with a new team and start my journey as a D1 Athlete.”
Coach Rachel Freeman highlighted Gavin Chapa’s dedication and impact on the team.
“If you were anywhere around track you see Gavin running all the time, rolling out, stretching, or just doing all the little things and doing everything he needs to do,” Freeman said. “The dedication and the leadership he comes with, and all the little things that make you great.”
Another athletic standout, Isabella Hartofelis, committed to Troy University for Division I women’s soccer.
“I wanted to go to a school where I could continue my academics and athletic career, and Troy University allows me to do both,” Hartofelis said.

Softball
- Avery Allen signed with Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
- Leila Reyes signed with Weatherford University.
Soccer
- Isabella Hartofelis signed with Troy University.
Golf
- Lydia Portlock signed with Yale University.
- Lauren Patterson signed with University of West Florida.
Cross Country
- Gavin Chapa signed with Texas A&M University.
Baseball
- Caleb Crider signed with Angelo State University.
- Kaleb Rogers signed with the University of Texas at Austin.
- Braeden Sada signed with Ottawa University. during the Fall signing day on Nov.13. Caroline Holcomb signed with the University of Pennsylvania to continue her Diving career.
