Educators across the United States are being encouraged to enhance their qualifications through Lamar University’s innovative master’s programs. Known for its flexible and affordable advanced education options, the university is taking a creative approach to connect with teachers in their own communities. One standout feature of this outreach is Enzo, a goldendoodle therapy dog, who has been spreading joy and comfort to teachers and first responders across the country. Along with his handler, Enzo visits schools to provide a much-needed moment of calm and connection for hardworking educators. During these visits, teachers also learn about the benefits of Lamar University’s master’s programs, tailored specifically to meet the needs of professionals in education.
Trained since he was just eight weeks old, Enzo now travels to various states, offering support and volunteering with K9s for Christ. Through this organization, he caters to hospitals, police officers, and firefighters, providing much-needed emotional relief to those who serve their community. While Enzo’s home base is at Lamar University, where he works closely with staff and students, his impact stretches far beyond, making him a beloved fuzzy figure wherever he goes.
