The Reagan Rattlers fell to the Brennan Bears 21–13 in the annual Peanut Butter Bowl on Aug. 29. The game kicked off at 7:30 p.m., with students, families, and fans filling the stands to support the Rattlers in their first preseason matchup.
After the game, Head Football Coach Lyndon Meyers addressed his players, emphasizing both their strengths and areas for improvement.
“All of you have a lot of things to be proud of, like how you played hard and fought the entire game,” Meyers said. “But we also have several things we need to clean up—like avoiding too many penalties—if we want to beat a good football team like Brennan.”
Looking ahead, the Rattlers will prepare for another tough challenge against Steele High School. Their theme for the week: Control what you can control.
