68 Reagan Choir students advanced to the next round of auditions after competing in the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) District Choir Auditions at Churchill High School over the weekend. Reagan was one of 10 high school choirs from NEISD that participated in the event, with more than 108 students representing the school.
“I am proud of everyone who participated, and so excited for everyone who advanced in the auditions,” Head Director Mary Cowart said.

“The audition was something I had been looking forward to all summer. I was scared and anxious, yet excited to sing and compete with hundreds of people,” senior Mateo Millspaugh said.
Those who qualified will move on to the TMEA mixed-region audition on Oct. 19, with hopes of qualifying for the All-State Choir.
