One of the actresses from Mamma Mia the musical visited theater students at Ronald Reagan High School on Thursday, sharing her journey as a vacation swing in theatre as well as teaching a masterclass to the students.
She took time out of her schedule to sit with the class and answer questions from the students about her experience and her advice.
“Since I was twelve I was like, I’m going to be on Broadway and I am going to go to every audition possible.” said Sotto
Sotto grew up going to audition after audition, stating that “if you don’t feel different then you won’t be yourself.” She was fortunate enough to have connections to an agent which made it easier for her to book shows.
“The best way to get an agent is to have connections, it makes the whole process easier and less stressful.” -said Sotto
Sotto invited the students on stage to learn choreography for the hit song in the musical ‘Dancing Queen’ learning each step of the song. Sotto recommended the students to come and watch the show just before she left.
