Reagan Wrestling Competes At The Russ Pederson Invitational

Reagan’s wrestling teams competed in the Russ Pederson Invitational at Johnson between the days of Thursday, Dec. 11 and Saturday, Dec. 13.

Reagan’s JV teams took the ring on Thursday, Dec. 11. and had 16 finalists, 11 of which took home the gold medal.

“We had so many in the finals it was hard to keep up,” Wrestling Head Coach Paul Miller said.

Reagan’s varsity wrestling teams followed up by taking the ring on Friday, Dec. 12 and Saturday, Dec. 13. The girls team ended sixth overall with a total score of 75 with their highest placing finisher ending with a silver medal. The boys team finished with a score of 193.5 and a first place team finish as well as two individual placers that ended with a gold medal.

“Our team was tested by countless All State Wrestlers and wrestled strong,” Miller said.

Reagan’s varsity wrestling teams will fight in the Doc Hess Classic at the Legend Event Center on Thursday, Dec. 20. The jv team’s next scheduled match is the Gillespie Classic hosted at Reagan on Friday, Jan. 9.
