Reagan’s varsity basketball teams defeated Churchill and split victories against Clark.
The boys team hosted Churchill on Friday, Jan. 16. The Rattlers led at halftime 36-19 and did not look back, winning with a final score of 71-46.
Reagan then hosted Clark on Tuesday, Jan 20 and looked to extend their win streak to three. The Rattlers led 21-9 at the end of the first quarter. In the second, Clark came storming back to tie the game 27-27 before the half. Reagan held strong and ended the third with a 47-44 lead. The fourth quarter was close, but ultimately Reagan came out on top 55-54. Reagan improved to 16-9 on the season and 5-1 in district play.
The girls team hosted Churchill on Saturday, Jan. 17 and won 48-45. Reagan then played away to Clark on Wednesday, Jan. 21. The Rattlers were unable to start a win streak, falling to Clark 44-33. Reagan’s record falls to 16-14 and 5-3 in district play.
Reagan’s varsity basketball teams next opponent will be Brandies. The boys will play away to them on Friday, Jan. 23 and the girls will host them on Saturday, Jan. 24.
