As graduation approaches, seniors’ excitement grows more and more each day. Here are some events seniors should all know:
Field Day
Field Day will take place this Thursday at the football field during the school day, and all seniors are invited to participate. The event will include bounce houses, obstacle courses, lawn games, music, snacks, and competitive team games. Students are encourage to wear comfortable clothes, bring sunscreen.
Senior Awards
On April 24, the Senior Awards ceremony will take place at Blossom Athletic Center. Graduating seniors will be recognized and celebrated for their achievements throughout the evening.
Powderpuff Football game
The annual Powderpuff Football Game will take place on May 1, with junior and senior girls playing flag football and the boys cheering them on. Juniors and seniors must sign up in advance to participate as players.
Finals & Last day of school
Final exams for seniors will take place from May 15–20. Make sure to check the schedule and be on time for each exam.
Graduation
A mandatory graduation practice will be held on May 22 at Comalander Stadium from 8:30–10:30 a.m. All graduating seniors are required to attend.
The graduation ceremony will take place on May 24 at the Alamodome starting at 9:30 a.m., with doors opening at 8:30 a.m. Seniors participating in the ceremony must arrive one hour early. There is no limit on guests, but there will be a $15 parking fee per vehicle (card only). No loud or dangerous items will be permitted inside. More details will be shared as the date approaches.
