In a celebration of academic achievement and college readiness, AVID students from across North East Independent School District (NEISD) gathered at MacArthur Park on Thursday for the district-wide AVID Day, marking National Signing Day with pride and excitement.
The event brought together students and teachers to honor the hard work and college commitments of AVID seniors from all NEISD high schools. With music, food, and recognition ceremonies, the park was filled with a spirit of accomplishment and unity.
Reagan High School’s senior AVID program stood out with a remarkable showing—over 100 college acceptances and more than $2 million in scholarships earned by its students. Seniors from Reagan proudly wore t – shirts representing their chosen colleges and universities, symbolizing the next steps in their academic journeys.
