On August 29th, the Rattlers faced off against the Brennan High School Bears. The game started at 7:30 p.m., and many students and families came to support the Rattlers as they charged into their first pre-season game. Overall, the Rattlers played hard throughout the entirety of the game, which concluded with a Rattlers loss and the final score of 21-13. After the game Head Football Coach Meyers took time to talk with the players saying, “All of you have a lot of things to be proud of like how you played hard and fought the entire game.” Along with telling them how well they did he also talked about what needs to be done, “We have several things we need to clean up like how we had too many penalties to beat a good Brennan football team”, he said. The team’s theme this week as they prepare for another tough game against Steele is “Control what you can control”! Strike ’em Rattlers!
