Reagan’s swimming and diving teams will participate in the Mav Wood Invitational on Thursday Oct. 2 in an event that begins at 9 a.m and end at 7 p.m. The Rattlers will travel to Round Rock, Texas to partake in the competition.
The Mav Wood Invitational is an annual competition that consists of all swimming and diving events. The Mav Wood Invitational will include many separate events that include several different races, all different lengths and using different strokes as well as many different diving competitions. This will be the first competition of the season for the Rattler swimming and diving teams.
The competition will start at 9 a.m with the warm-up rounds. This will followed by the diving events set to begin around noon. The competition will end with the swimming events that will begin a few hours prior to the competition ending. Reagan is expected to face fierce competition from many different Texas high schools.
Reagan looks to kickoff their season on the right foot and continue the incredible success they had in the 2024-2025 season. The Rattlers were declared district champions last season after winning the 2025 UIL Championship. The win was followed with a qualification to participate in the 2025 UIL Texas State Championship. The event ended in with Reagan taking home three gold medals, a fourth place finish overall for the women’s team, and a 11th place finish overall for the men’s team.
