The Ronald Reagan Marching Band competed at Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex in Austin for the Texas Marching Classic.
The Texas Marching Classic is a yearly marching band competition at the Kelly Reeves Stadium where marching bands from around the state compete for the top spot at the beginning of their season.
The nationally recognized Ronald Reagan Marching Band went on at 2 p.m. for the preliminary round and was awarded third place.
“This is my favorite competition all year,” Anthony Ibitayo said. “We get to walk around the stadium, interact with the other bands there, and just generally have fun.”
In the finals round, the band was awarded fourth place overall.
The band’s next competition is UIL Region 12 Marching Contest on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
