Reagan’s varsity boys basketball team began their non-district play on Friday, Nov 14.

Reagan hosted Pieper in their opener in which the first half ended in a 28-26 deficit for Reagan. The Rattlers collapsed in the second half and ultimately fell to Pieper 66-55.

Reagan then travelled to face New Braunfels on Saturday, Nov 15. in which Reagan outscored New Braunfels in all but one quarter. However, in the second quarter the Rattlers were shutout 17-0 which proved to be costly as they lost 48-42, dropping to 0-2 in the season.

Reagan then played an away game against Sam Houston on Tuesday, Nov 18. in what became their most dominant performance since the beginning of last season. Reagan took a 48-16 lead into the second half and maintained momentum winning the game 79-30, moving up to 1-2.

The varsity boys basketball team will partake in the Magnolia Tournament beginning with their game against the undefeated Kingwood Park on Thursday, Nov 20 at 4 p.m. Should they advance, their next game would be the following day, Friday, Nov. 21.
