Reagan’s varsity boys basketball team finished the Magnolia tournament as winners of the loser bracket on Saturday, Nov. 22
Reagan began the tournament in first round taking on Kingwood Park on Thursday, Nov. 20 and had full control throughout the game. Reagan won with a score of 58-32 and were sent into the second round.
The Rattlers took on O’Connor in the second round on Friday, Nov. 21 and had a close game throughout. Reagan entered the second half trailing 32-26 but managed to tie it at 36-36 heading into the fourth quarter. Reagan ultimately came up short, falling 46-44 and was subsequently relegated to the losers bracket.
That same day, they took on Fulshear in the third round and won 41-34 to go to the loser bracket final.
Reagan took on Spring in the fourth and final round on Saturday, Nov 22 and had a mostly dominant performance. By the end of the third, they led 43-24 and although they had a slight collapse in the fourth, Reagan still came out on top 60-50.
The Rattlers next challenge will be the Austin Bowie Tournament, played between the dates of Thursday, Dec. 4 and Saturday, Dec. 6.
