Varsity and Junior Varsity Softball teams began their season with games against Boerne on Feb. 6, marking the start of the year. After the scrimmage, both teams competed against Judson on Feb. 9, with the JV team winning 10-3 and the Varsity team securing a 10-0 victory, with Alley Reyes being the winning pitcher, securing 3 innings and 6 strikeouts. These results prepared the Varsity team for their Northside Independent School District (NISD) Tournament, which was scheduled from Feb. 12 to Feb. 14.
“We went 5-0 at the tournament, winning each game we played,” Head Softball Coach Nicholson said.

Hitting:
#1 Courtney Latronico finished with an .833 batting avg, 5 Runs Batted In, and scored 7 runs
#4 Alyssa Burnett finished with a .667 batting avg, 2 Runs Batted In, and scored 7 runs
#10 Peyton Mendoza finished with a .636 batting avg, 7 Runs Batted In, and 4 runs
#6 Sadie Eckles finished with a .600 batting avg, 6 Runs Batted In, and scored 7 runs
#17 Mila Mancias finished with a .500 batting avg and 5 Runs Batted In
Pitching:
#2 Ally Reyes pitched 7 innings with 15 strikeouts, 1 win, and no losses
#16 Carolina Santoyo pitched 10 innings with 14 strikeouts, 3 wins, and no losses

On Tuesday, the Varsity Softball team traveled to Laredo and played against United South on Feb. 17, achieving a 17-0 victory. They also won Thursday’s neutral tournament games against Calhoun and Incarnate Word Academy with final scores of 3-0 and 6-0. They will be back in town on Feb. 24 to play a home non-conference game vs. TMI-Episcopal.
