Tres Leches Croissant at La Panaderia
This week, two members of the Rattler Report team reviewed La Panaderia, 1011 N. Loop 1604 E., a newly opened restaurant and bakery that blends a sit-down dining experience with quick-service pan dulce offerings. La Panaderia aims to elevate the traditional dining experience through creativity and attention to detail.
The atmosphere is modern and sleek while still maintaining a warm, welcoming feel. When you walk in, you’re greeted with an open and inviting dining room that makes you feel like a part of their community and family, as well as flooding with the fantastic smells from their open kitchen
A good start to your outing would be their Mexican hot chocolate for a nice soothing beverage with hints of cinnamon to spruce up your morning. If you’re looking for something to get you a little more energized, try their tres leches matcha with strawberry puree base, matcha, topped with strawberry tres leches cold foam for a slightly sweet but earthy treat.
For an entree, we’d suggest the LP waffle croissant with two eggs and assorted fruits for the slightly sweet but really tasty and chewy dish to liven up your breakfast or lunch. We’d also suggest the al pastor torta with pork loin al pastor, grilled pineapple, queso fresco, and sauteed onions.
From their bakery, try their blueberry bear claw with sprinkled pecans or the tres leches croissant filled with whipped cream and topped with strawberries.
Overall, La Panaderia 9/10 restaurant and bakery that tries and succeeds to innovate on the average dining experience with a mix of quick service and a sit-down establishment.
